AS FAR Rabat Strengthens Squad with Two Congolese Internationals
The Moroccan football club AS FAR Rabat has recently bolstered its ranks with the signing of two Congolese internationals, much to the delight of its supporters. The vice-champions of Morocco are optimistic about the upcoming season with these new additions.
Baka Inonga Joins AS FAR
On Saturday evening, AS FAR Rabat officially announced the acquisition of Henock Inonga Baka. The experienced central defender, who spent the last three seasons at Simba SC in Tanzania, is set to bring stability and reliability to the team’s defense. After terminating his contract with Simba SC in June, Inonga was courted by France’s FC Metz, but he chose to continue his career in Africa, underscoring the appeal of Moroccan football.
Inonga, who has been capped 21 times by his national team and has participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), will provide much-needed experience to AS FAR’s backline. His contribution will be vital as the team prepares to compete in the first round of the CAF Champions League against Nigeria’s Remo Stars on August 16 and August 23.

Joël Beya Bolsters AS FAR’s Attack
Simultaneously, AS FAR Rabat has secured the services of Joël Beya, another Congolese international. Beya, who earned his first cap in 2020, has struggled for regular playing time since making his debut in 2019 with TP Mazembe. The 24-year-old forward hopes to establish himself and find his feet within the Moroccan club, where the competition may be less fierce.
Despite being relatively young, Beya has shown flashes of brilliance in front of goal, particularly with Congo’s A’ team, netting four goals in five matches. His potential for growth makes him a valuable asset to AS FAR.
