Paris 2024 Olympic Games Officially Kick Off Amidst Notable Absence of Moroccan Football Team and Achraf Hakimi
This Friday, July 26, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games officially commenced with an opening ceremony that started at 7:30 PM local time (GMT+2). One of the notable absences from the ceremony was Achraf Hakimi, the defender based in Paris, and Morocco’s Olympic football team.
The opening ceremony, which marks the beginning of the much-anticipated global sports event, saw participation from two hundred and five (205) delegations, including Morocco. The Moroccan contingent consists of 60 athletes; however, the football team is conspicuously missing. The football squad is currently in Saint-Étienne, preparing for an upcoming match against Ukraine.
