Noussair Mazraoui Eyes Manchester United, Snubs West Ham Offer
Nosair Mazraoui, currently with Bayern Munich, seems set to leave the Bavarian club and has reportedly responded to West Ham’s advances. The Moroccan international, capped 28 times and scoring twice for his national team, has expressed a desire to move away from Bayern Munich after completing two seasons with the club, where he made 55 appearances, scored once, and provided eight assists.
Interest from Premier League clubs Manchester United and West Ham has emerged prominently. According to German and English media sources, West Ham was the first to act by placing a bid estimated at 19 million euros, including bonuses. This offer reportedly satisfied the Bayern Munich management, and a verbal agreement with the 26-year-old defender seemed plausible. However, fresh information from Foot Mercato indicates that Mazraoui does not want to move to East London.
Mazraoui reportedly prefers to bide his time, awaiting potential offers from other clubs. Specifically, he hopes Manchester United will make a move, and he also remains open to Juventus, which is in the midst of a rebuilding phase and is looking to bolster its defense. Therefore, Mazraoui’s heart leans more towards joining Manchester United, as stated by Foot Mercato.
The transfer scenario, however, is not straightforward. Manchester United may need to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka first, and Juventus might need to trim their squad to accommodate Mazraoui. Valuation estimates for the defender, born in Leiderdorp, range between 15 and 20 million euros, but Bayern Munich seeks around 30 million euros, in line with his Transfermarkt value.
Breaking News: Contrary to earlier reports, Noussair Mazraoui is not close to joining West Ham. Instead, the Moroccan international is not thrilled by the Hammers and is primarily waiting for Manchester United to step up their interest. Juventus is also considering the player.
