Raja Casablanca edged out arch-rivals Wydad Casablanca 1-0 in a thrilling derby clash at the Stade Municipal de Berrechid on Sunday evening, to move to the top of the Botola Pro 1 standings.
The only goal of the game came in the 91st minute of stoppage time, as Adam Nafati curled a superb free-kick into the top corner to send the Raja fans into raptures. The match was a tense and closely contested affair, with both sides creating chances but failing to convert.
Raja’s victory sees them climb to the summit of the table with 69 points, one point ahead of second-placed FAR Rabat, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Moghreb Tetouan.
