Arsenal Crush Sheffield United 6-0 in Premier League
Arsenal secured a dominant 6-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in Matchweek 27 of the Premier League.
Martin Ødegaard opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 5th minute, followed by an own goal from Jayden Bogle in the 13th minute.
Arsenal continued their dominance, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring the third goal in the 15th minute and Kai Havertz adding the fourth in the 25th minute.
Before the end of the first half, Declan Rice scored the fifth goal in the 39th minute.
In the second half, Benjamin White completed Arsenal’s rout with the sixth goal in the 58th minute.
With this win, Arsenal move up to 60 points in second place, while Sheffield United remain in last place with 14 points.
This is Arsenal’s second win over Sheffield United this season, having won 5-0 in the reverse fixture.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s performance, saying: “We played a really good game today. We were pressing high, we were moving the ball well, and we were creating chances.”
He added: “I’m very happy with the way we played and the result we got.”
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance, saying: “It was a very difficult game. We came up against a team that was much better than us.”
He added: “We have to learn from this game and come back stronger in the next games.”
